Call for Presenters for the 2023 BC Organic Conference

 

Organic BC is in the process of organizing the 2023 BC Organic Conference, which will take place on November 7 – 9 in Penticton. The theme of this year’s conference is Building Bridges. It’s our 30th anniversary and we are planning our biggest and best event yet.

Do you have an interesting topic that you’d like to share at the largest organic sector gathering in BC? We want to hear from you! We are looking for presenters to share best practices, expert knowledge, tips & tricks and stories within all areas of organic agriculture including, but not limited to these topics:

• Developments in science in agriculture
• Practical, adoptable practices for farmers
• Latest research updates
• Marketing
• Distribution, retail & export markets of organic products
• Climate change – mitigation and adaptation
• Cultural and social issues within agriculture
• Seeds and seed saving

 

Other things to know:

• Sessions are approximately 60 minutes long including Q & A.
• Presentations should include practical examples (where possible), and provide ideas and resources that participants can adapt/apply in their businesses.
• Presenters will be offered an honorarium, and travel and accommodation expenses will be covered.
