The Islands Organic Producers Association (IOPA) has been certifying farms on Vancouver Island and the surrounding islands since 1990, and certifies to the British Columbia Certified Organic Program (BCCOP) for products marketed within BC.

IOPA aims to administer a fair, transparent and strict process to assess the operations of organic producers, awarding certified organic status to those who meet national and local standards. IOPA also works to promote and strengthen sustainable agriculture to foster cooperative relationships among organic producers and consumers in their region. IOPA members believe in providing education on organic practices within their communities and mentorship to new and aspiring growers.
