The On-Farm Climate Action Fund (OFCAF) supports specific nitrogen management Beneficial Management Practices (BMPs), but how and why were those BMPs chosen?

The Farm Resilience Mentorship (FaRM) Program, an initiative of Farmers of Climate Solutions, is excited to host a webinar with Dr. David Burton, FCS’ Scientific Advisor and Professor Emeritus at Dalhousie University. Together, we will dive deeper into nitrogen management BMPs, and the impact that they could have on building on-farm resilience and reducing emissions.

Please note:

• This webinar is an OSCIA-recognized Knowledge Sharing Event (KSE) for farmers with On-Farm Climate Action Fund (OFCAF) projects in the nitrogen BMP category.

• Nova Scotia producers that are receiving OFCAF funding through Perennia Food and Agriculture are able to attend this event to receive an education credit for their nitrogen management project.

• Producers in Newfoundland and Labrador that are receiving OFCAF funding through NLFA are able to attend this event to obtain a Knowledge Sharing Event (KSE) credit in the nitrogen BMP category.

• CEUs will be available for Certified Crop Advisors.

• This session will be recorded, but to obtain KSEs you must attend the live session.
