Today is Giving Tuesday, the world’s largest generosity movement. Taking place each year after the consumer frenzy of Black Friday and Cyber Monday, this day offers a gentle reminder to take pause and give back to the people, businesses and organizations who are transforming our world in a positive way.

This year, we’re asking you to give back to British Columbia’s food system. This system has shown incredible resilience over the past few years, and we know our organic producers and processors have played a major role in that. Not only do they put healthy food on our tables, but they also work tirelessly to support a shift towards a more sustainable and ecologically sound food system.

How can you give back? Here are a few easy ways:

  • Shop locally. Visit a farmers’ market, check out a farmstand, sign up for a CSA, or support stores that stock local items. Find organic products near you at organicbc.org/findorganic.
  • Attend local farm and food events.
  • Choose restaurants that source foods locally.
  • Choose organic. Organic principles are rooted in health, ecology, fairness and care—a pathway to more sustainable and climate resilient food systems.
  • Donate to Organic BC at organicbc.org/donate to support organic producers and processors, help more operators transition and inspire consumers to choose local, organic products.

Thank you for your support!
