Want to grow food for your community, but not sure how to get started? How to Start Farming: An Introductory Course for the Farm Curious is here to help!

This online course digs into farming fundamentals and provides practical insights into how to you can get involved in farming. If you’re exploring farming as a potential career, this course offers the perfect starting point.

This 4-week program is open to anyone interested in farming, no prior experience required! It’s also a great opportunity for those new to Canada to learn the basics of farming in northern climates.

WHEN: November 6-27, 2025 with live sessions on Thursday evenings: 5–7 pm Pacific Time, 6–8 pm Mountain Time, 7–9 pm Central Time, 8–10 pm Eastern Time, 9–11 pm Atlantic Time.

COST: The suggested sliding scale cost is $100–$200, which is $25–$50 per session. If you are not able to pay on the suggested sliding scale, you are welcome to contribute an amount that works for you. No one will be turned away for lack of funds.
