DESCRIPTION:Dreaming of starting or growing your farm business? \nRegistration is now open for the Young Agrarians Business Bootcamp for New Farmers\, starting January 21\, 2026!\nJoin a vibrant community of new and aspiring farmers as you dive into building a business plans for the farm of your dreams. Together\, we’ll explore financial planning\, marketing\, risk management\, accessing capital\, and so much more. \nThis course is designed for new farmers who:\n-Are planning on starting up an agricultural operation in the near future; or\n-Are looking to expand an existing farm or hobby enterprise; or\n-Want to start a new enterprise on an existing farm \nWHEN: January 21 to April 1\, 2026 on Wednesday evenings (5–7 pm PT\, 6–8 pm MT\, 7–9 pm CT\, 8–10 pm ET\, 9–11 pm AT)\nCOST: The suggested sliding scale is $250 – $350\, which is $25-$35 per session. SUMMARY:Work Party at Ntamtqen Community Garden and Food Hub
DESCRIPTION:Join Young Agrarians and Ntamtqen Community Garden and Food Hub on March 21-22 for their fourth annual spring work party in Cawston\, BC! \nCome out to lend a hand with spring farm work and building infrastructure to grow Indigenous food sovereignty. There are a variety of tasks to do such as planting fruit trees in the new orchard (we planted one very successfully last year with YA volunteers!)\, pruning\, irrigation\, greenhouse work\, transplanting seedlings\, helping in the kitchen\, and more. There are also exciting new expansions to check out including a root cellar\, outdoor kitchen\, workshop\, and processing building. \nThese work parties have become such a valuable source of hands-on support for Ntamtqen to kick off the season. We can’t wait to gather with you and celebrate spring together! Everyone is welcome to attend. \nWHEN: March 21-22\, 2026.
