DESCRIPTION:Get CanadaGAP certification ready! \nIn this unique on-farm session\, an auditor and a consultant will walk you through a mock audit of a certified organic operation\, using the CanadaGAP audit checklist. \nWe will help you build on your knowledge of CanadaGAP certification and the audit process by demonstrating what to expect during a CanadaGAP farm audit. And\, we will also share audit preparation tips to help you find success. \nBring your boots and clipboards and join us for a morning of practical learning on the farm! \nThis session will be outdoors and offered rain or shine\, please dress appropriately for the morning. Coffee and light refreshments will be provided. \nAbout our Farm Host \nKPU Farm is a living laboratory for students learning about regenerative organic agriculture. It’s located on the Garden City Lands\, a 55 hectare (136 acre) park in the Agricultural Land Reserve\, just 250 meters east of KPU’s Richmond campus. \nThe farm highlights diversified\, sustainable\, regenerative\, and organic production practices adjacent to the population centre of downtown Richmond. Organic produce from the farm is sold at the a Kwantlen Street Farmers Market and through KPU’s campus cafeterias.
